Corrie spoilers: Residents rally to find missing Joseph with £30k donation

The search for missing Joseph is set to continue next week on Coronation Street after his sudden disappearance left Chesney sick with worry.

Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) was left fearing the worst and forced to make a public appeal with partner Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) when Joseph (William Flanagan) vanished and police turned up his school jumper in a frantic search.

Joseph was seen out on the streets with nothing but a hold-all and a rolled-up tent in the middle of the bitter January cold.

ITV spoilers now reveal that the residents of Coronation Street are set to rally behind the search for missing Joseph, amid fears he could be found dead.

In scenes airing on January 17, Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) reveals that he has donated £3,000 to the appeal to find the missing schoolboy.

Gemma and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) are genuinely touched by the generous gesture.

Elsewhere in Speed Daal, Alya (Sair Khan) tells Yasmeen (Shelley King) how proud of her she is after donating an eye-watering £30,000 to the appeal for Joseph.

Later on in the week in scenes airing January 19, a reporter comes to the cobbles to do a story on Joseph’s disappearance.

Despite having shared a kiss with Dev in scenes airing Monday, Bernie is left humiliated when the report refers to Dev as Bernie’s partner in the report.

Joseph’s shock disappearance came after Chesney and Gemma discovered he was being bullied at school over his family’s financial situation.

Chesney attempted to intervene, but only made the situation worse for Joseph, who had asked him not to get involved.

Joseph went missing soon after their confrontation, just as guilt-ridden Chesney had decided to apologise.

Will Chesney’s worst fears be realised? Or will Joseph be found before it’s too late?

Elsewhere on Coronation Street next week, police officer Craig Tinker is getting closer to working out what happened to Ted – and his girlfriend Faye Windass’ involvement in his death.

Fan favourites Sally and Tim (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) will also face one of their biggest obstacles after a shocking health diagnosis.

Sally becomes convinced Tim is hiding something from her – and possibly having an affair – after he decided not to tell her his doctor’s diagnosis that he needs a triple heart bypass operation.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
