New Fáilte Ireland hospitality guidelines set to be published on Thursday afternoon will move to provide new hospitality service guidance and try and level the playing field for restaurants, bars, late bars and nightclubs.
It comes after two days of confusion from the industry after the Taoiseach’s announcements on Tuesday.
Can we dance unmasked? Can we dance unmasked at gigs? Are we able to get a round of shots at the bar or do we have to find a table to do so?
All of the above will hopefully be answered by the new guidelines which are coming later on.
Adrian Cummins, chief executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, told the Mirror: “We had a very productive meeting, progress was made on the ban on multiple tables and we look forward to re-engaging and hopefully coming up with the final guidelines confirmed.”
A source close to the Government involved with the negotiations said they were “happy” with how the crunch talks went down.
