Strictly Come Dancing reveals first look at Fred Sirieix’s Christmas Special routine

First-look images have given a glimpse at one couple’s routine on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

First Dates star Fred Sirieix will perform with Strictly Come Dancing pro Dianne Buswell on the Christmas special this weekend.

Now, new images released by the BBC ahead of the show have given a glimpse of the pair’s routine, as Fred has confessed his reasons for taking part in the festive spin-off of the hit series.

Dianne is seen wearing a stunning green, layered frock for the occasion, with gold coloured heels.

Meanwhile Fred is wearing a caramel coloured suit, with red accessories around the neck and shoulders.

Fred has even dyed his dark hair red for the episode, matching Diane’s already-rouge locks – and it certainly goes with the Christmas theme.

Both Dianne and Fred show off their moves in the spoiler images, with it confirmed they are dancing the Quickstep to Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin’ Stevens.

It seems that confetti showers down on them too at the end of the routine, as they stand beside a huge Christmas decorated table.

Fred has shared his reasons for doing the BBC series, and confessed fear was a big part in him saying yes when asked.

He explained: “When I got the call I was as excited as I was scared, I can’t let fear rule me.

“Because I was so scared I thought, I had to do it. It’s about finding that headspace, with myself and Dianne, ignoring everything around us, which is a challenge and I can’t wait.”

On whether he could bring home the festive trophy, he teased: “I think we have a good chance!”

His partner Dianne added: “You’ve got to believe haven’t you?” to which he replied: “We will do the best we can, and hope for the best!”

He went on: “I’ve been practising this one dance for three weeks, it isn’t perfect, but it’s as good as it can be. I’m not a dancer, my level of dancing is standing on tables as Christmas parties with my top off!”

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special airs on Christmas Day on BBC One at 5:10pm.
