TV presenter Carol Vorderman made her name on Channel 4 game show Countdown, which she co-hosted for 26 years from 1982 to 2008.

Carol Vorderman is currently worth a whopping £18million according to Spear’s magazine. Most of this wealth is down to her role on Countdown which saw her earn a massive £5 million a year.
In addition, she earned £750,000 for her best selling book Detox For Life with her autobiography, It All Counts, making £100,000.
She has also contributed to several newspapers and been a poster girl for both maths geeks and diet fanatics alike.
Why is Carol Vorderman selling her mansion?
Carol has sold her £2.6 million mansion to take to the road in a van in the new year. The property named Uplands is located just outside Bristol and was bought by the presenter ten years ago for £1.1 million.
The 59-year-old took to social media to announce that she has now sold the house which had three bedrooms and a massive garden.
Showing fans the spacious airy property with floor to ceiling windows, she posted: “Today I sold and said goodbye to a house I kinda built 15 years ago….the house of a thousand parties.”
She said goodbye “to her happy place,” which she called “Sloblock Hall” on Instagram, adding that she was moving on to more new adventures.
The adventure seems to be one spent in a van, which she plans to turn into a motor home. Carol has already posted several images with the van, which she will be driving to Bristol to be converted in the new year once it has had some work done.
Is Carol Vorderman married and does she have any children?
Though she is currently single, Carol has been married twice before. First to Royal Navy officer Christopher Mather, in 1985.
They married when she was 24 , but it only lasted 12 months.
She later married Patrick King in 1990 with whom she had two children daughter Katie, 30, and son Cameron, 24, though her marriage with Patrick ended in 2000.
