Chelsea star Sam Kerr levels male pitch-invader with ‘GAA shoulder’

One Chelsea player took matters into her own hands last night after a pitch-invader stopped play in their clash with Juventus.

Chelsea were in Uefa Champions League action in Kingsmeadow as a ‘streaker’ disrupted play.

And as the players attempted to help remove the pitch-invader in the 88th minute of the 0-0 stalemate, Sam Kerr stepped in and floored him as the crowd cheered the move.

And some fans will understandably compare the collision to that of a Gaelic Football game, with the iconic shoulder charge a stern reminder of the competitive nature of the GAA.

The Australian star also picked up a yellow card for the shoulder charge, rounding off an incredible week after she inspired her side to FA Cup glory against Arsenal.
