Meghan Markle’s brother shares her nickname as he talks about their childhood

Meghan Markle’s brother Tom has shared his sister’s childhood nickname as he talked about growing up together.

Tom is currently competing on Big Brother VIP Australia where he’s opened up about his strained relationship with his sister.

During the show he mentioned that Meghan’s childhood nickname was ‘flower’.

When Big Brother asked him what it was like growing up with Meghan he said: “It was fun. A lot of love growing up.

“Her first nickname growing up was ‘Flower’. In her bedroom she had these over decorative really brightly coloured flowers over her crib. When she woke up that would be the first thing she would see.”

When going into more detail about their childhood when he compared Meghan’s birthdays to Christmas.

He said that they had a ‘good childhood experience’ which was a ‘great experience’.

Tom mentioned that despite their families not living together, they still got together for family holidays and quality time.

However, he also admitted that he had made some ‘horrible mistakes’ during his relationship with her which he still regrets to this day.

Tom first came into the spotlight when Meghan announced her marriage to Prince Harry which led to Tom and Meghan’s relationship breakdown.

Tom wrote an open letter to Prince Harry before he married Meghan which included Tom tell Harry to not go ahead with the wedding.

However, it is not known whether Harry actually ever read the letter.

While on the show, Tom also claimed that their dad never approved of Harry for his daughter Meghan.

He said: “My dad doesn’t approve of him. My father says he couldn’t even protect those chickens in their backyard if he needed to.”

Since then, Tom wrote another letter to his sister apologising for the previous one.

Luke Toki, who is also competing on Big Brother was given the task of persuading Tom to write another letter.

The first thing he said to Meghan and Harry was that he was ‘sorry from the bottom of [his] heart’ for the letter he sent prior to their wedding.

Tom said that the letter did not come from the person that he is now, and instead it came from a ‘very dark and hurt’ part of his heart.

He wrote that he isn’t a mean person and has more ‘love inside [him] to give than anything’.

Tom told Big Brother that the first letter was written in response to Meghan reportedly referring to Tom as distant family.

He went on to say he was confused due to the ‘amazing bond and relationship’ they shared growing up together which led to him putting up a ‘defence wall’.

Tom found fame overnight when his sister was in a relationship with Harry which meant that he had no more privacy that he was used to.

He mentioned that it was hard and ‘very stressful’ to deal with alone with no help at all.
